Changing transmission fluid m47 200

I want to change the transmission fluid in the transmission of my 1988 244 DL with a m47. What would be the best fluid to use. Should I trust this job to a transmission shop? It's funny, that I won't do this job my self. I have heard a lot of things going wrong with this transmission, so I want to make sure that every thing is perfect. What should I tell the guy who is doing it? I had once heard something about over filling the transmission, what does that mean? I have heard of a good transmission shop in my town, I'm just worried they are going to try to sell me a cluth or something else.
