Head Removal 444-544 1958

Tony,

I don't know your capabilities, tool situation, etc., but in general the cylinder head is easy to remove and replace. It is a matter of unbolting everything from it and lifting it off and properly torqueing it on reassembly.

As alschnertz says, a good automotive engine shop can remove a broken stud and if necessary redo the hole.

If you decide to take head to a shop, think about taking the whole engine to the shop. I think you already have it out of the car. If you have a hoist it is not difficult to get a B16 into a vehicle for transport.

Just one opinion (from a back row seat), but I would follow that path rather than start with a different head bought from Ebay.
