volvo stalls 700 1991

I have had the fuel pump replaced about 6 x in the last 10 years. The latest being fall of '05 and before that 1 year prior. Once in a while the old volvo will stall when I am driving it-sometimes it will start right up and other times it takes a while. I did have it in the shop last week and they could not find anything wrong with it: they checked out the fuel pumps and relays-nothing to indicate what is causing the stalling. Does anyone have any ideas? Thanks, Paul
