Flare nut wrench is the only tool to use, that is exactly what was designed for..

Anything else is a PITA.

I have noticed that 75% of the SIY install jobs leak at the fiting because folks are negligent in fitting the tube to the flare then tightening the flare nut, instead they think the flare nut will pull the trans pipe into the fitting flare. NOT.
