Advice on 940 Turbo Purchase 900

Hi Everyone,

For the last 25 years I have owned and driven Volvo 240s and really like them. Lately I've been considering getting a 940 Turbo (sedan) for my main ride but I don't know too much about them. I live in Western Canada but I'm thinking of buying one out of the southwestern USA and driving it back home.

How are the 940 Turbos for performance and reliability ? How easy are they to work on and get parts for ? Are many of the parts on them interchangeable with the 740s ?

What year(s) are generally considered to be the best on the 940s and which year(s), if any, should be avoided ?

Are there any common trouble spots or repair issues/weaknesses on the 940 Turbos that I should be aware of while I'm looking at one ?

Any advice/thoughts/comments that you can offer on this will be much appreciated.
