all dash lights on (staying on) 700 1990

service/battery/brake/parking brake/windsheild fluid

#1 I've been visiting this site for more than a year and never had to bother asking for any help. searching the site & the FAQ section have always resulted in enough info to handle the job. --so thanks to everyone for all that--
I'm almost postive that I've narrowed the problem here again.

#2 I recently had these same lights glowing/ and replaced the v.reg/brush unit- problem solved- car ran much bttr. I did replace it with a cheap guy(not OEM). Would it be likey or even possible for the electronics in the regulator to have died & if so would these same lights be on??

#3 the little red wire from the back of the alternator follows the big red wire & ends up where? I can't seem to follow it. I think IPD sells a bypass kit for this problem?

any help or suggestions (battery is dis-connected)
thanks cra
