240 manual window crank slips, won't keep window up 200 1984

It is 25 degrees outside, otherwise I'd tear into the door this instant. But tomorrow I'm driving to a couple pick and pulls to get a cushion and wire grid for my '84 245, so I might try to get some more items.

Can someone guess why my driver's side window won't stay up? I turn the manual window crank and it works fine for most of the travel, but when it gets near the top, it will slip and turn, but the window doesn't go any higher. My guess is something is not being held together strongly and under more stress slips out of place. Is this a simple tightening, or am I probably missing a screw, or do I need a new gear of some kind?

Also, the tailgate is completely non-functional. The previous owner never fixed it, and all the parts are gone. Can anyone list what parts I'd probably need from a donor? It may be odvious once I get into a donor I suppose, but having never seen the parts, I may not be so sure.

Thanks,
Nathan
