Information on faulty power window 900

Hi Everybody.

Just like to share my experience with power window going down but not up. For the past few ocassions, mechanics advised to change the switch after testing. Some mechanics claimed it was the regulator/motor. Well, bought a switch and see an experience mechanics many miles away just in case it needs replacement. Well, straightaway, he told it needs only to clean. He was spot on. Show me the dismantled contact which is brownish/black, the result of oxidation?? Proceed to clean by sand paper and the power window is functioning OK. Afterall, it is just cleaning. Never let some inexperienced or dishonest mechanics take you for a ride.
