Wow - snow handling! 200

I have a set of Dunlop Graspic snowtires, and I've put them on my 240 wagon the past two winters. I've never had occasion to take a long trip in snow however. Yesterday, I had to drive back from Philly to NYC right after anywhere from a foot to 2 ft of snow fell. I was very pleasantly surprised by the snow handling of the car - it never had a problem getting started or keeping going despite the fact that many of the roads weren't cleared yet. There was some rear wheel spin, but the rear stayed straight while the wheels were spinning with very little fishtailing. Certainly a lot better than the a lot of FWD/AWD cars that I saw, which were *all over the road!*

The only scary part was when a large gray cargo van decided to slow down in the right lane of the GS Parkway, and very deliberately make a u-turn across 2 lanes of traffic to end up pointed against the traffic. He wasn't skidding or spinning, so I'm not sure *what* was going through the guy's brain.
