I've been meaning to ask!!! 120-130

In my 67' 220 I have dual circut brakes. The car was like this when I
bought it. The pedal was mushy so I replaced the master cylinder with
one I bought from IPD, bought new rear brake shoes and installed them,
fixed a siezed rear cylinder, and bled the brakes(a few times now).

I still need to pump once or twice before I get full pressure on
the brake pedal. Once I pump twice the pedal is nice and stiff and the
car feels "normal"

Should I have to be pumping the pedal like this???
A friend told me that is pretty much what old car brakes are like
and I have just gotten used to it. Something tells me that this
just isn't right though.

As always, any advice and help is very appreciated!!!
I have been meaning to ask about this for months...ha ha ha!

Thanks,

Karl
