940 Heater blower motor 900 1993

The climate control fan on my 1993 940 was operating intermittantly , then died completely this weekend. Can anyone recommend how to troubleshoot whether it is the fan control switch or the motor? Fuses seem OK. Any coaching on this job is appreciated. Most of the info I turned up related to the 240 model, which seems to be a bear to do.
