Zenith carburettor question 444-544

Hello everyone,
After a lengthy effort ,I have gotten my '57 444 LS on the road . I don't think the new Zenith VN 34 came through with the correct jets (they don't match the old ones). My question is, what are the correct ones? Two are #100 and two are #98 . I have the #100's in there now but am running a little rich. I will try the 98's today.
The other question I have is about spark plugs. The book calls for Bosch W175 t3. Are there any other plugs that can be used ? Can I go up in heat range ? Will that help with the fouling problem?
Additionally, my gas tank is very rusty inside. A disreputable mechanic was supposed to have cleaned it out, but didn't. As a result some fine rust particles are getting past the inline filter (added) and the plugs are a sooty reddish brown color.

Thanks in advance , and I look forward to your reply.
Sgali
