FUEL PUMP QUESTION again... 140-160

Hello Board

Just added another 164e to the fleet. What is that address for Volvo's Anonymous??

I have a fuel pump question. One one of my Volvo's I had a new fuel pump installed. This fuel pump (original Bosch, BTW) is loud. On my '75 164e, the fuel pump makes a quick buzzing noise when I first turn the key on and then stops. This new fuel pump buzzes as soon as you turn the key and does not stop buzzing and it is even loud inside the car. Today it seems kind of erratic.

Any ideas? What is the correct function of these fuel pumps? The one in the '75 seems to work fine but this other one just never seems like it works quite right.

Thanks in advance
