did that about a week ago 700 1990

About a week ago I had it at the shop for other work and they flushed it then. Two or three days lator it started to give me trouble shifting out of first. After it warmed up for about 10 or 15 min (while I checked fluid, poked around, cursed, threatened, etc.) it worked alright. Although it jerked when I stoped. I took it back two days lator and they "flushed out the fluid again, with a difrent kind of fluid, and adjusted some cable thingy(kick-down cable)" (my mother picked it up for me so details are VERY sketchey). It was after that that this problem begain. Before this the biggest problem was that it would get up to 3,500+ rpm before shifting (I was letting my foot of the accelarator to shift it before it got that high).
