Anyone ever replace the O-Ring on the Throttle Body Adjuster Thumb Screw? 200 1986

I was unable to cause any change in my base idle after grounding the wire to shut off the IAC and then adjusting the Thumb screw on the throttle body...

well it did change when I had the screw completely out and completely in .... but I was thinking there would be a range of change as I adjusted the screw in and out...?

I noticed the O-ring on the screw seems quite flattened and I wondered if I replaced it with a new one whether this might bring a better range of adjustment for base idle?

am I wasting my time and should be looking at something else? (i.e. stuck IAC Valve)?

are these O-rings readily available (didn't see one on FCP Groton's site)?

thanks,

jack
