Turn Signal Problem 200

Hi All,

My right turn signal occasionally comes on by itself. When it does this the right dash indicator and right front and rear signal lights are on solid, no blinking. Moving the signal lever right has no effect but works normally to the left, that is left signal lights blink normally. I've inspected the connections at the lights and at the switch and all look clean and solid.

Now, the only way I can get the right signal lights to go off is to cycle the head light switch or once I flashed the high beam switch on the signal lever. Looking at the wiring diagrams for the headlights and signals I see only the signal lever switch in common between the two otherwise independent circuits.

I suppose I could try swapping out the signal switch assembly but I have cruise control and can't see how to disconnect the extra wires from the signal handle.
