Windshield wiper arm 700 1991

I don't this referred to in the FAQ. Since I bought this 745, one of the front wiper arms has been turned so that it is down about an inch below the windshield when in the resting position. I'm ready to try to tackle this today and hoping it will be as easy as removing the nut, turning the arm a little and retightening. But that sounds too easy since I have to wonder how it got this way in the first place.
