Small clock stops when car sits for a day or two 200

I have tried using the search engine to find information on this as I believe it has been discussed before but as usual I have not been able to find a thread that discusses this.

I have a small clock/tachometer installed in an 89 240. The clock keeps good time when it runs but if the car sits for a period of a day or so the clock will stop until I start the car. If the car is used on a daily basis all is fine.

I also noticed that the internal light in the clock does not work. Is there a painless source for the necessary bulb in those clocks?

Thanks for any help.

Randy
