Thanks all. It did seem to be as simple as loosen, reposition, tighten. We will see how long it lasts. The only difference is that I did hav to persuade the arm up with a screwdriver before it released from the splines and would let me turn it. So it was jammed down into the wrong position. I will start looking at the pick-n-pull for a spare. Are right and left identical?

Works great for the moment at least.
