Hello,
I have a '84 244 GL that has a mind of it's own!
When it does start, it runs for a few seconds, then dies. After 3 starts with this problem, it stays running, but dies whenever coming to a stop.
Sometimes, it starts back up, sometimes not, checked the fuel output at the line coming into the rail, no gas.
After changing out the relays, get fuel, but idle 'surges' up and down... stalls after a few minutes.
Both fuel pumps, fuel filter, fuel line, relays, CPU, rotor, cap, wires, battery, connectors, are brand new.
Sometimes when the car does want to run, I can hear the fuel pumps working. When it doesn't want to start, you cannot hear them.
I change out the relays, no result. Check all connections, no result.
If the car sits for a week, it starts, but get's back into the surgeing and stalling issue.
About ready to take it out behind the barn and put it out of it's misery. :)
If I didn't love this thing so much, I wouldn't be here.
It has had this problem for about 2 years now, I get it fixed, but it comes back.
