1993 960 AC control electronics 900

Hi! Thanks for reading my post.

I have a 93 960, and just a few weeks ago I noticed that the clutch for the AC compressor can no longer engage. The "AC Off" light does not blink so there is no error code detected by the control computer. I tried bypassing the compressor control by jumping the wire directly with the battery (14V), then the clutch works fine and the AC blows cold air.

I am guessing there might be a problem with the temperature sensor (since the owner's manual says that the compressor does not engage if the outside temperature is lower than 45F), or the ECC circuit board and/or relay (I read that there could be problems with old solder joints on the circuit board).

My questions: Where is the ECC circuit board/relay located and how can I pull it out? Are these the only place I should check?

Thanks!!
