putting in 2 new guages....is a spare (empty) fuse location a good place for power? 700

Can I safely use say, fuse slot #24 as a place to wire the hot side of a boost guage light and an air/fuel meter? It appears to be a spare fuse slot.

I'm assuming that #24 only gives 12 volts when the key in on. Heck, I'm assuming that #24 gets a full 12 volts, too..

By the way, it's a 740 turbo 1988 automatic.

Thanks..
