I have the same problem. See my similar thread on the V90 index with additional advice. Even the dealer advised not to bother fixing it. With the vent up, watch the side track and you will see a slot in the track that is supposed to be lined with plastic, to help the follower glide. The plasic in mine has started to break up and some have suggested removing it altogether. I may try that but I would hate to turn a non-opening sunroof into a leaker, which seems to be the other big problem. Use the search window at the top to find other threads with advice.
You don't really want all that wind noise do you? Not to mention the birds...
