b18 engine rebuild 120-130

im not so sure about the actual identity of that engine. i have downloaded the Motortypenliste engine number decoder from the german volvo club websiteM (thank you archives!) and am going to go back this week and check it out. the thing is that the FI system is not the d-jet type that is described in my books and i am unsure of what the k-jet looks like. i have been looking at some of the 140-160 web sites to look at pics of engine bays to get some idea of what im looking for and as far as i can see its identical to what i saw on a b23 and a b21. is that the k-jet that lays right atop the head with the VOLVO stamped on it. can this be modified as easily to accept carburation? i don't know much at all about FI and am reluctant to buy an engine that i wont ever get to running. any help is appreciated.
