vibration possibly from propshaft after fitting standard shocks. 700

After digging around the boards archives,I think i might be having some of the problems associated with the rear of my 760 gle being to low, after fitting standard shocks.
The shocks that came with the car were monroe adjustables.I dumped them because they were causing an horrendous rattle.
The back end does sit noticeably lower than the front.Ive measured the rear clearence from the centre of the wheel to the arch at 14 inches, the front measurement is 16 inches.
Should I think about shimming the propshaft centre support bearing to try get around this problem or go ahead and fit springs from a 740?
