240 died at highway speed and then no start

Woohoo! Good news!

Well I went and saw the car. The guy was really nice and he had 2 other 240s. Both of the other cars were nice. The car need paint, but the body is solid. I popped the oil cap and had him crank the motor. Sure enough, the camshaft didnt turn. The interior was in fair shape, and needs a little assembly, but no big deal.

Now he wanted $500 for the car. I was only wanting to spend $300. BUT, He said hed let me do the repair to the car in his driveway! That saves me over $400 in tow and repairs! So we settled at $500 for the car, and i would be allowed to do all the needed repairs to drive it away on his property. So we both win. Best part is the car has a working a/c. I didnt even know that.

So looking at all my expenses, $500 for the car, $20 in parts, $166 for insurance and tag. $680 dollars for a running 240 with a/c. Im psyched. That guy doesnt know how much of a favor hes done for me. I really needed a daily driver. I also told him about brickboard.com, he says hes seen it once or twice. Maybe hell see this thread.

Thanks alot John!
