Ugly rust hole in tranny support crossmember 200 1988

I was underneath the car (1988 245) this past weekend suring up the transmission pan bolts to hopefully cure an ATF leak. Well, while I was under there, I discovered, much to my dismay, that a section of the crossmember holding the tranny mount just aft of the pan had rusted from the inside out.

I was wondering if the crossmember is a part that can be found & replaced easily. I have not driven the vehicle since that day as I feel its unsafe at this point.
