Correct tires for 1973 145E 140-160

The tires on my Volvo are 185/65R15 (on car when bought). They are fairly hard and seem to be too small. Also the engine speed seems high at 60 mph. The owner manual calls for 175R15 which converts to 195/70R15 (not available) or 205/65R15 (which seem pretty wide) but are available. These two tire sizes seem to be the correct diameter of 25.75 in. but I'm afraid the the 205/65R15 might be too wide and rub on something. What tire sizes should I be looking for and where is a good source to get them.
