Correct tires for 1973 145E 140-160

Standard tyres on my 74 142 where Michelin 165R15.

I have run 195/65x15 rally tyres on it (they JUST fit the standard 5" 40mm offset rims) with no clearance issues, although their rolling diameter is fractionally smaller than the standard tyres. Also no issues with clearance with the same tyres on 6" 760 steel rims (25mm offset)

I am about to put 205/65x15 on it (on 6" Virgos, 20mm offset) which also fit fine. These are a VERY common tyre here in Australia, so can be had pretty cheaply. They are also as near as makes no difference to the same rolling diamter as the standard original tyres, so no speedo issues.

225's are a bit tight in the rear arches however.

Hope this helps !
