Should the bulb out light come on in ignition switch pos. 2 before starting vehicle 200 1986

I'm trying to make sure my bulb out light is not burned out....

Oil pressure light, Alternator light, and 2 others (can't remember which) all come on when I put the key in ignition position 2 before starting but no bulb out lamp...

is this normal, is there another way to test that lamp...? like pulling a bulb out of the tail light and seeing if it comes on?

thanks,

jack
