Gauge wiring 200 1992

I am installing a volt and oil gauge in the two spots left of the radio. No wiring came with them and I have a some questions:

IS THE BELOW RIGHT

All upside down T’S go to ground?
I am connecting both upside down T's together

All +'s go to fuse number 1?
I am connecting both +’s together

All lighting go to brown lighting wire?
I am connecting both lighting together

I am not hooking up the oil sender as yet, just installing the gauges, but when I test the gauges the 5 bar pegs all the way to the right anyway. Is this normal since I dont have the sender hooked up yet. I have the wire installed on the gauge and run throught the firewall, but have not yet installed the sending unit. Will this do any harm to this 5 bar gauge until I get the sending unit intalled.

Thanks
Frank
