760 Electrical problems 700 1987

After spending 12 hours today playing with wheel studs and rotors I get to work and car decides to drop down to 12v. Bad. I check the fuses grounds belts etc... and it is to no avail. While checking the fuses I accidentlly bumped the fuel pump relay... 14.4! I wiggle it again.... 12. Once more 14.4! and then 12. And now its stuck at 12 draining the battery and dying.

What in the world is going on? Is it possible the fuel pump relay has shorted or something? I'm in a REALLY bad mood now knowing that some little unrelated thing has made my other repairs null. I'm not going to even look at the car again tonight. Tomorrow I will try again. I figure I will pry apart the relay and get a few spares from the junkyard.
thanks
Jerry
