poly strut rod bushings 900 1992

Hello All:

I have a set of poly strut rod bushings that I bought for my 760GLE-- I never installed them because the car was wrecked before I could get to them.

I was under my 940 this AM installing a new splash pan and a transmission mount, and I noticed that the strut rod bushings in that car look absolutely trashed (it pulls a bit under hard braking too-- it's not the brakes-- I checked).

Are there any tricks to installing these bushings? I am thinking of tackling them tomorrow. Do you re-use the washers from the original bushings? They look thicker than the originals-- are the bolts long enough to get them started? How about torquing them down-- do the same rules apply as with rubber bushings in terms of resting/neutral position?

I'd appreciate any tips/gotchas for this job!
