Rule 308-- question about 940 turbo oil cooler hoses 900 1992

Hello Mark:

You posted an answer a while back about oil cooler hoses for the late style 940 turbo. I was under mine on the weekend and I see that I need them badly.

A '92 945 would take two 9161383 90 deg elbows and one 9161384 j-shaped hose, correct?

You might not believe this, but my local Volvo dealer parts manager couldn't figure out what I needed to buy based on their online manuals. He came up with a price of $42 apiece on the elbows, couldn't find the j-shaped one, and wasn't sure the elbows were what I needed...

I ordered the oil cooler hoses from FCPgroton.com, but only got one of each type. I don't know for sure that I need two 383's, since I discovered mine currently has what appears to be a piece of garden hose on one side of the coolant drain petcock! The other one looks lousy and the j-shaped hose isn't much better. Given that this is the low point in the motor for coolant, a failure here would leave me in pretty bad shape!

I'd appreciate your advice on this!
