1981 240 headlight problem bizarre 200 1981

Since you've eliminated the bulbs it is certain to be corroded connections behind them. Beside the sockets themselves there is a two-pin connector with blue and red wires, if you follow the light socket wiring outward. Use a test light to verify, if the connectors don't crumble at your first touch. This is not a relay problem, or it would affect both sides equally.
