Claiming tentative success on my disk brake conversion

Well, we test drove my 444 Sunday, took it around the block and then a little further. The brakes (with new disks on the front, and 544 drums on the back, master cylinder rebuilt minus the valve, 10 psi inline pressure valve in rear line) are firm. The car stops great. Also, my new front end is wonderful, it is tight and not swimmy like before. Car starts and runs good so it appears the carbs are also adjusted correctly. This is the first time I've driven the car after above work (its been over a year!)

The rears do appear to be locking up before the fronts, so we're going to search for a brake proportioning valve and try adding that to see if it causes front brakes to engage before rears.

Only thing that was a little weird was a loud CLUNK in the back and 2" spongy feel in the brakes upon hard braking in one of the test brakes. It only happened once though. Anyone know what that could have been?

thanks
