760T electrical problems solved, but...... 700 1987

The power stage needs to be mounted to the inside drivers wheel well. As you've discovered it gets hot and needs the contact with the metal to act as a heat sink and keep it cool. I believe it's mounted to an aluminum block using some dielectric goop to help conduct heat. That in turn is mounted to the wheel well. If it's just hanging there it could be the cause of alot of your problems.
