Stereo/Speaker/Ground question 200 1982

I installed a stereo in my 82 240 last fall. I put in new front, 6.5s in the rear deck and a small amp and sub in the trunk.

I get a horrible whine in my rear speakers. I tried to narrow down the problem and the only thing that solves it is removing the amp power at the battery. The wiring goes down opposite sides of the car and isn't in parallel.

I have the amp grounded into the left lift bracket thing.

Any ideas? It is really annoying! Is my ground too close to the fuel pump ground?
