Injector Problems 700

I've been getting a whistling noise from my injectors for a while now. Until recently I thought it was some vaccum hose but while playing around with the injector connectors I noticed I could change the pitch of the whistling. So my guess is that the injectors are making the whistling sound...

Today I finally got around to checking them. I checked the resistance of the injectors themselves and found that all four had a resistance of about 2.8 ohms. Haynes says that the resistance shoud be 16 ohms, but since all four of my injectors gave me a reading of 2.8 is it maybe just a symptom of something else?

I also checked to see if the wires going into the connector/injectors had any resistance (Thought it might be an easier way to check for a short...) and got readings from 9 ohms to about 12 ohms for all of them. Is this normal? or is it proof that I have a shorts somewhere?

Also...I put a flathead screwdriver on the injectors and I (thought) I could feel the pulses. So they seem to work fine, yet make a whistling sound.

The car is an '87 760T (B230FT). 8 months ago I had the car taken out of storage (3 years) and got the engine (including fuel rail and injectors) replaced by a non-Volvo mechanic and I've had the whistling noise ever since. The car runs rich and has a rough idle, but performance is ok, but not as good as I got from my old 88 non-turbo 240.

Any tips of suggestions would be greatly appreciated!
