87' 760 Turbo No start- read FAQ 700

Ok, I am at my wits end here! I have read through FAQ... I have replaced: ballast resistor, radio supression relay, FI, Ignition Coil, Ign. Amp., checked wires, connections, spark, grounds, fuel pumps, etc. Still no start. Now, history, a few months ago the car started to have a idle surge problem, very intermintent... a day, not for months, for days. It doesn't matter if it's cold, hot, ran for 5 min, runs for 6 hours. The idle surge can happen at anytime, sometimes the car would shut off (cut off not electrical). Now... the car either runs, or doesn't run at all. Yesterday, after thinking I might have solved the problem, the car ran great all day. Only interesting change was the idle speed, it had changed to about 1500rpm's which is odd, it had never done that before. Pulled into the driveway, the car idling and then it shut off! Now, no restart again.

I am going to swap out the ECU next, and then check the FPR. I have an IAC that I could install... but it doesn't seem as though that would cause a no start. Anything... anything at all that I might be able to check before I have to pay for this car to be fixed?

Best Regards,
Anastasia
