Acceleration Hesitation ('85 244) 200

Hey everyone, going to run the brick this weekend at the race track, but having a hesitation problem. Last race, car just died on next to last lap, would refire, but die as soon as shifted into gear, it didn't help that the muffler was torn up and hanging from the car I am sure, lol. Anyway, new muffler and exhaust tubing added, then changed out the TPS (throttle pos. sw.) still not wanting to cooperate, so changed out AMM, and runs now, however hesitates significantly (or stumbles) when trying to accelerate. As you can imagine, I am shoving the pedal to the floor most of the time, and a hesitation every time I come out of the corner is going to be the death of me. Not sure if this is a related or unrelated problem, but it seems that the oxygen sensor, may not be working, since connected or disconnected, motor sounds/acts like it is running the same. Any thoughts, as always, appreciated.

Jim
