recycling a drive train 700 1986

Sadly, I must pull my first Volvo off the road.@ 260k miles, still runs tight, but rust has taken hold.Frame rails under seats and behind rear wheels.I would gladly pull the drive train before the rest goes to the crusher. Question is, can I convert this motor to a carburated unit, without any computer sensors?I'm thinking about a home built tractor. If I built a adapter for where the throttle body goes, I'd bolt a carb on.Is there anything I should re-think? Any suggestions for the carb I should use? Thanks
