Thanks. How about installing a system from a 91 in my 90. Anyone done this?

That's wierd. I usually deal with I believe a guy named Jon there and i've bought a bunch of those 709's from him and had them rigged up like that. They bolt right in, with the exception of moving the AMM bracket up.everyone I've rigged up with one has been very happy.
The 709 mis way better than the DK or the sanden 508, the 508 is about the same as the DK, the 508 is 5 cylinders 8 cubic inches, the 709 is 7 cylinder 9 cu in. the 709 is stock on later model 960's and rolls royce and lots of semi trucks, it is much more efficient than the other compresors and actually puts less load on the engine ( very noticable when getting on the freeway )

The cheap retrofit kits are like the ones sold at wal mart or local parts store that just have adapter fittings for r134a hoses and nothing else.
