Tune Up 900 1994

Everybody has their idea of what it should consist of. Back in the day it was spark plugs, air filter, and points if it took them. We still just do plugs and a filter on the late model stuff but mostly you try to steer the customer into a proper major service which includes and oil change and possibly a fuel filter too (depending upon the year). If it was my own car and I was doing a "tune-up" I would hang plugs, cap, rotor, wires, valve adjust, air fuel and oil filters, throttle valve service, coolant and brake flush, PCV service, drive belt retension, check the diff and change if it has been 30K,and a tire rotation if it needed it. This is basically a red engine 60K service plus the cap, rotor, wires, and TV service.
