240 expansion valve, oil leak 200 1989

Hi All,

For those well experienced in A/C on the 240:

About three years ago I converted my system to r134. replaced expansion valve, receiver dryer, drained oil in compressor and replaced with ester oil, I also replaced the high pressure hose from condensor to compressor which was leaking. Anyhow the system ran fine for about two years. Last year the pressure dropped a bit, I topped it off, and also added an electric pusher fan, which helped performance in traffic.
This year the pressure is a bit low again, now doing the carpet I find that oil was leaking at the expansion valve area (accumulating where the tube bends down like a trap) and it had formed a nice oil stain going down into the carpet.

I was wondering if anyone ever had a leak there.... yes when I replaced everything, all new o-rings too.

Thanks,
Greg
