I have an 86 240DL. Junkyard rescue project with "Jimmied trunk" bent to hell with broken tailights.

While at Mid Ohio Sports Car Course this past weekend to shoot photos of my friends at PCA school. They kept saying 'Your volvo's on fire" I would look oiver my car and in the distiance I saw smoke, didn't give it a thought just a trash fire I thought. Then I looked and it was a 240 with front end damage. I went up to check it out and fould out that they were teaching extraction from burning race cars. Only hay fires for effect.

It had non cracked tailights (both) and a good lid. I asked , go the go ahead and loaded into my wagon.

My Porsche and BMW driving friends made fun of me but who cares. To the point of doing the Sanford and Son theme song.
