740 rims on 240 200 1990

I'm pretty sure I've seen posted here several times-
any 740 rims will fit fine without spacers or other special attention.
Early 740s had 14" tires, soon changed to 15" so that is what you will see mostly.

940 rims, maybe fit.
Volvo front wheel drive rims, fit with some kind of spacer.

I'm only going on heresay -
have tried to answer your question since no other answers appeared.

Hopefully others will chime in.

For TIRE SIZE matching, go to
http://www.wickedbodies.net/Tire-Size-Calculator.htm

For your wagon, check the passenger door for the correct tire size.
Nearly always 185-R-14, which = 185 - 82.5 - 14.
This size is matched to your speedometer which is NOT the same as the sedan speedo. If you base your decisions on sedan tires (185-70-14) your speedo will be off and your load capacity will be reduced.
So pay attention to your tire size for those 15" rims.

I suggest
205-65-15 ⏍ speedo, 63.87 actual]
205-70-15 ⏍ speedo, 65.90 actual]
215-65-15 ⏍ speedo, 65.15 actual]
195-70-15 ⏍ speedo, 64.52 actual] Probably your closest match at a reasonable price)
