85 240 Wagon No-Start 200

My 85 volvo (newly acquired) wagon won't start. I bought it in November and discovered that I had a pretty good gas tank leak. Drained the tank and repaired the hole. It then actually sat until last month when I tried to start it again. I forgot that I didn't have any gas in the tank after trying at least 5 times or so cranking the engine. I went and put in 3.5 gallons it the tank out still won't start actually I don' hear the fuel pump noise when I turnthe key as I do in my 82 240 sedan. Did I fry the pumps? Any suggestions on what I should check next? I did drive it home initially and it drove fine then.

Thanks,

Martin
