A/C compressor just failed... 700

This is a little tougher than just replacement. When compressors die, they eject metal fragments downstream and contaminate the refrigerant, as well as clog orifice valves, etc. Before replacing, make sure the system is properly flushed, the orifice valve removed and cleaned, and the accumulator replaced. Then install the replacement compressor with the proper lubricant and an inlet screen, as noted in the FAQ, to catch any residual particles. Most sellers will not warrant the replacement unless you do this. Strongly suggest you take this to a shop for this job. A rebuilt compressor is fine, just install it correctly.
