Cost of tranny fliud S90-V90

I thought the cost of Mobil 1 syn fluid was high-the fluid in my 03 BMW is outta sight. The car has a lifetime fuid (where have we heard that before) at 55k miles figure I'll change it out. Seems there is somekind of fluid from Esso listed LT71141 that is the only fluid made to go back in-22 bucks a liter from the stealer-at 14 lts thats making me think this really is lifetime fluid.
Anyone with any ideas?
